Did you guys know that in this new version of WordPress, you can create a hierarchy of categories? Now I have Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, and Discourse Analysis all under Grammar, which with Translation is now under Linguistics, which is under Language.
But I don’t know how much all of that matters since I use a category cloud rather than a list…

You could do that with the old version as well. I tried it, but ultimately didn’t like how it looked. BTW, why the category cloud as opposed to a list?

The list version is soooo long… I’d rather have a compact cloud so that other things are visible, such as recent comments, Librarything, or the search box.

no, they just changed that because they thought the blue was too distracting. the “new” version came out about a month ago. but apparently what I thought was new was actually old.

The blue was very distracting. I’ve got XP set on a silver theme and this new WordPress color matches very nicely.

it would be nice if they would let us change the color ourselves so that it could match our themes.
