In the comments to the first part of Strauss’ paper posted to the Better Bibles Blog, Peter Kirk made probably the most humorous comment I’ve seen all day.
At least ESV as it currently is has found a niche market among those who believe that archaic and unclear language is the sign of a proper Bible, and that clarifying such language is the job of a preacher.
You may not agree with the statement, but its still funny. I’m glad somebody is catering to that market…
